How to use this system

Select the departing point, the arriving point, departure time, day, and the way of search. Then click the button "Search (show timetable)". The system shows the earliest route to the destination for every departure time.

  1. Either of "the departing point" or "the arriving point" should be selected from five points including "Shijo Kawaramachi" or "Shijo Karasuma". The other point, you can select from Kyoto's major traffic terminal and sightseeing point like "Kyoto station" or "Kinkaku temple".

  2. There are three ways to search as follows.
    • Search from all buses or trains (show only buses or trains arriving earliest)
    • Search from all lines including JR and private railways.

    • Search from buses or trains which you can ride by Kyoto sightseeing one-day pass card
    • Search from lines which you can ride by Kyoto sightseeing one-day (two-days) pass card issued by Kyoto Municipal Transportation Bureau.

    • Search from all buses or trains (also show later arriving buses and trains which you can ride by Kyoto sightseeing one-day pass card)
    • Search from all lines including JR and private railways, and also show later arriving buses and trains which you can ride by Kyoto sightseeing one-day pass card.

Search result will be shown by departure time. If you want to show all the buses and trains from the first to last, click "Show all" after showing the search result page.

On the search result page, "route guide" is shown at the top. In many cases, there are several routes, so all routes are listed here.

For instance, even if you don't know which route can be used, when you want to go from Kawaramachi Shijo to Arashiyama, you can search the time table "from Kawaramachi Shijo to Arashiyama and Sagano (Tenryuji-temple) " directly. Let's see in the following example.

In using this system

About bus delay and changing

In this route search, some proper time for changing buses at the transfer point is considered. The transfer time is set by each bus stop, but it is considered at least 10 minutes. So, when the delay is not so heavy, you may be able to take an earlier bus than the bus shown in the table.

On the contrary, by the delay of the bus you took, you may not be able to take the changing bus shown in the table. In that case, please check the time of next bus at the station or bus stop of the transfer point. This timetable only shows the convenient buses and trains for transfer from the departure point, so when you restart from the halfway of the route, you may be able to take the bus not shown in the table.
